Oh, Beehive!

We've extended the long weekend with a few days holiday, so took ourselves to visit Standen, the beautiful Arts & Crafts house in West Sussex.
All the A&C big guns are represented here, architect Philip Webb, ceramisist William de Morgan, lights designed by W.A.S. Benson, & some bloke called William Morris chipped in too.
The gardens are splendid as well. These honeybees were hard at work in the orchard.

This is as good as it gets without a longer lens or an old net curtain over my hat...
