Blue raindrops

I thought we were supposed to be having a heatwave beginning yesterday, but they must have been talking about Saudi Arabia or somewhere like it!

Today has been damp, showery and very midgey - just the sort of weather we on the west coast know and hate love! In spite of this there has been a steady flow of appreciative visitors to the garden.

The meconopsis have been hanging their heads today and I can't blame them. Not sure which this is without checking, probably M. 'Lingholm'.

The extra picture today is a plant known as 'white iris' in its native 'stralia - but more correctly Diplarrena moraea. From the SE corner of Oz, it is in the iris family, and seems to be hardy, here anyway! There are many lovely perennials in the same family, some of which we grow here.

Tomorrow I'm off doing a garden tour - Argyll & Ayrshire. I'll be back on Tuesday evening - might have to do some back-blipping!
