Ladybower Reservoir
This is a view of the Ladybower reservoir and a road bridge over it.
Ladybower is one of three reservoirs in Derbyshire used in the Second World War by Squadron 617 to practise low level flying for Operation Chastise, more commonly known as The Dam Busters.
The dam wall used to simulate the walls which were later bombed, is on Derwent Dam but the road to get there via Snake Pass was closed.
