4.5 Metre Elephants

Day 1 on the Mphongolo Trail (a Backpacking Trail starting from Shingwedzi). We spent 4 days walking the area between the Mphongolo and Shingwedzi Rivers. Very isolated (2hours drive from the nearest camp) the bush is untouched with many huge Leadwood trees that are thousands of years old. The animals rarely encounter humans, and the wilderness is untouched and pristine.

What a privilege to be able to undertake this walk. A life changing experience.
