Painted lady butterfly

A lovely walk on the opposite side of the valley took us past fields of flowers, through the edge of forests and back along the river this side. We enjoyed the butterflies, the birds and the flowers.
It was a surprise to find a wild clematis growing in the woods (see extra photo).
