The Parker's Arms
This pub is one of the first things I noticed the very first time I drove into Chorley. It has a slightly bleak look to it - stood, as it is, detached at the top of a hill - and also, to be frank, it looks a tad rough, too. But it has its apostrophes in the right place so I figure it can't be all bad.
I've yet to pop in for a pint, though, as it is one of the few suggestions that I've made that has stretched the Minx's Yes Policy beyond its limit. I think - although I may have dreamt it - that our friend Mike has said he'd pop in there with me, so I do have that to look forward to.
I'm not entirely sure what attracts me to it, mind you. Perhaps it is the fact the fact that it looks like a proper, old school, down to earth boozer. I don't know. But I shall, at some point, report back.
