Light night travels
As usual I left work late, to travel northward to the Glen. Not all is well there, so I felt I needed to go to see if I could help and selfishly to see two people that I care about, before they are too ill.
As I arrived around 10pm, the light was fading, but it was a beautiful evening. At least I left the rain and flooded roads behind me.
As I drove along the coast to look for a late blip, I saw Pat's light was on and she was reading in her sitting room.
Well I don't often go visiting at that time of night, but I needed to speak to her. She was welcoming, if somewhat surprised to see me. I offered to drive her to see her husband in Raigmore and she accepted.
I left her house shattered, but somewhat happier.
The view was gone as I headed back to the house, to unlock and make up my bed before collapsing.
