Thanks Barry and Lee
New fencing erected and looking good.
Could not have managed this on my own. Needed some additional muscle, so thanks to Bro-in-law Barry and good neighbour Lee for lending a hand last evening.
The other thing about wooden 6x6 fence panels is that when you lift them up to shoulder height to slot into posts they become spinnaker sails in the slightest of breezes and want to take off and so handling them is pretty challenging in any sort of a wind.
The old fencing panels were disintegrating - rotting and dilapidated. Two panels did not have concrete "gravel noards" at their bases and had rotted away considerably.
The hard bit was lifting two concrete gravel boards measuring six feet by one by 1.5 in hes thick up to shoulder height and slotting them down into the side pillars. They were really heavy beasts! Hard yakka, but the lads done well!
So job done, looks smart, neighbours happy and time for a couple of beers.
Cheers lads!
