Thursday mornings can be somewhat, shall we say, fraught in our house.
My one working concession to my dirty bugger nature is that I pay a lady to come and wash my expansive white kitchen floors every week, and she comes on Thursday mornings. So needless to say, since we are all, myself included, messy buggers in this house, The pre-cleaner tidy up is an occasion for some energetic spousal and parental words of encouragement at the best of times.

This is not the best of times. The daughter who usually has only 2 speeds, (slow and dead stop), now has a broken tie and is even slower. I found her buck naked in the shower 2 minutes before we had to leave. The dog is on heat, leaving her mark here and there. Schedule changes at work mean I have to go in earlier than usual.
Add this to the sods law number of red lights and old ladies walking out into the road pushing newborns in prams without looking kind of traffic there was this morning, and let's just say a few deep breaths and caffeine shots were in order when I came back from the school bus run.

It was then I noticed a message from a friend, saying " did you find my present?".
When I looked, I found this lovely surprise, which is far in excess of the kindness I did her to deserve it.
But little things can make your day, so thank you Mickey! You really didn't have to, but I am very delighted with it nonetheless !
