Taking time!

This tablecloth was given to me by my mother to embroider before I got married.  It was  for my 'bottom drawer', which was a quaint custom in those days!
Every now and then I fancy a bit of embroidery and out it comes.  Have one corner left to do and today I had to buy some more silks.  Of course the original numbers are way out of date, so took the cloth with me.  The new silks cost nearly £1 each.  That is probably more than my mother paid for the whole cloth in the 50's.
Doubt it will ever be used (if I ever finish it) but the children can decide it's fate.  I have enjoyed working it.
