Buff
I knew it was something out of the ordinary just because of the way the twig seemed to be resting on a grass stalk. It was then I knew it was extraordinary; not one but two Buff-tip moths mating on a grass stalk.
A first for me. I've seen the caterpillars in our garden once but never the moths themselves so felt very chuffed with myself for having spotted them. Not a moth buff, so had to use my trusty insect book!
My extra is a beautiful Butterfly Orchid which was just on the edge of the woodland.
