A Productive Day
Today was the complete opposite of yesterday.
From being totally unproductive to rushing around like a dervish. Dan (number two son) and Kelly were off to a friend’s wedding. The morning started with me being presented with a wedding gift which needed wrapping. I had to root around to find suitable paper, sellotape, ribbon and gift card. Once the present was wrapped and they were ready to go I donned my uniform and cap and became their chauffeur to the wedding venue about 10 miles outside Milton Keynes. On my way back I had to call at the laundry to pick up Chris’s (number one son) cleaned shirts and drop off some more dirty ones. My last job was a trip to Central Milton Keynes to get some of Chris’s shoes mended.
I think I must be a clear favourite for this year’s Mother of the Year Award.
I’m enjoying a quick cup of tea and then I’ll get changed ready to set off for South Bucks where we’re attending the opening of a friend’s art exhibition.
Today was much more satisfying. And this lovely blip was a bonus.
