Incredible Edible

Yesterday was a Flashmob, today is a pic of something akin to a Flash Vegetable Patch

Incredible Edible is an idea rooted (no pun intended) in Todmorden, but which has spread to other places. Salford seems to have a strong Incredible Edible partnership, with things going on in different places. All good.

It's about connecting communities, education and business around the idea of growing produce locally and then eating healthily. Salford's health stat's don't look good in part because of people's lifestyles - so vegetables are part of the answer ! Ironic that the national vegetarian movement started in Salford at the Bible Church in Greengate, Salford back in the 19th century.

This bed of vegetables can be found in the sunken garden, near the war memorial, Swinton. It will be inteesting to see how it develops. I may have leaf or two as the weeks pass, if no one else does ..........
