Pipits on Parade

Given the favourable weather forecast, I was determined to make the most of the day. I went for a lovely walk one of my favourite areas. I'd hoped there might be butterflies around but sadly not. The bird highlights were Green Woodpecker, Linnet, Kestrel and lots of Meadow Pipits who are never afraid to pose atop the heather.
