No More Power

The remains of Cockenzie power station viewed from Prestonpans. From the gap between the now free-standing chimneys and the structure on the right you can tell how much has already gone. Chimneys are due to come down sometime this summer - hopefully on a day I'm not working. With old coal powered plants like this being decommissioned due to pollution levels and the cost of maintenance, the UK's generating capacity is stretched ever further. Not helped by successive governments failing to implement effective and coherent energy policies.
