Birthday cake

A hasty shot taken this evening, of the lovely cake presented to me by my family ...such a busy day today: A dear friend took me as her guest to the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy this morning - such a  treat - then back home to prepare for Violet's First Birthday party which will be at our house tomorrow. Violet's mummy had a hard time of it as she struggled with a very poorly little girl (tonsillitis, severe, now on antibiotics) but her friends and our family rallied round and we just about got everything set up tonight.
No prizes expected for my blip of a sugar Flower Friday bloom, but the heartfelt wishes from my family that go with it are priceless!
