Things that make you go Hmmmm

Sign on the transom of a small boat while crossing to Barra on the Calmac Ferry. It's a self-righting boat so it seems to make sense to have upside down directions so they'll be right side up if you find yourself in the water, next to the overturned boat. The problem; this is the high speed, jet powered rescue craft they drop in when necessary to collect someone who's gone over the side. What happens to that poor soul while the rescuers are fiddling about in the drink?
