RAF Upottery (also known as Smeatharpe)

It was from Upottery that Easy Company of the 506 Parachute Infantry Regiment U.S. 101st Airborne Division boarded Douglas C-47 for there first combat jump into Normandy on the 6 June 1944. There is also a second photo today
