Catch Up

There's a lot to celebrate when two men, who first met at El Alamein, and their wives  get together  for coffee.
In case this gives the wrong impression of WW11 buddies finding each other after all those years, let me be clear that the meeting at El Alamein was on a joint  camping trip to Egypt in 2010, Egypt camping trip before the recent troubles in that country.

Munroist4113 and MrC were up in Edinburgh for the day and were blown into the Dower House on the wings of a mighty gale after stepping off the train from Alnmouth.

So mighty was the gale outside as we chatted and reminisced inside, that the Meadows stall holders were either absent or having so much  difficulty in erecting their awnings that they gave up. Even the punters were largely absent.

However it was lovely to have time to do a catch up with our camping friends and hear their exotic travel plans for the next year. I fear their passports will need multiple extra  pages.
