Coffee Morning

Had a lovely morning as I  popped in to a coffee morning  to support a friend who helped organise this fund raising event for " Women's Aid Leicestershire " 
I really enjoyed  chatting with friends over a coffee and homemade cakes - I also won a couple of raffle prizes too !!

Since the organisation opened the first refuge in Leicester in 1974 hundreds of women and children have found sanctuary there allowing them to live their lives free from abuse .
Sadly there is no longer funding  to provide this support in the City Refuge however with help and support from individuals and organisations they intend to keep the Refuge open.
Hopefully the coffee morning this morning will have raised money and awareness for this very worthwhile charity
