Cyprus Day 6

Eva seems to be feeling better today so we headed up to the hills to Lefkara - a tiny higgledy piggeldy village. We had a really nice meal with amazing view and spent a nice afternoon exploring all the little streets. One street had an archway over it and underneath someone had set out chairs and books and coffee tables etc so you could sit and chill out for a bit. It had a really nice feel about it, but of course Toby and Eva did not want to sit and soak up the atmosphere!

After that we took a detour to the amphitheatre at Kourion. It was such an amazing setting and really nice to see a bit of coastline not blighted by skyrise hotels, factories or oil refineries. Toby loved the amphitheatre and was charging up and down the steps and running from one side to the other checking out the acoustics! There were some amazing ancient mosaics they had unearthed in what they think was a palace next door but we didn't have time to explore it properly. Glad we made the detour though as definitely worth seeing.

On the way back we picked up Eva's medical report and talked about what we should do. The owner of the apartment was happy for us to stay a few more days and Toby hasn't shown any signs of illness at all so we decided to transfer all our flights to Tuesday night when she has been signed as fit to fly. Once we had made that decision we all felt a lot happier and much more relaxed. Looking forward to a few extra days here now.
