Feeding time
Dropped into Howard and Irene's just around the corner today to witness the bird feeding - this is just a small selection of what was there. These are primarily Crimson Rosella (red and blue, and the juveniles with some green and the King Parrots - my favourites - vermillion and green).
The bower birds were there in force also, including the elusive male with his beautiful blue/black cloak and prerequisite harem in tow. The wattle birds were less numerous and shy - would swoop in to get a beakfull and depart until it was finished and then would swoop and scoop again. Any magpie had to be sent packing as they are just too bossy!
They have been feeding them for a few years now and have seen many different species - all beautiful.
