People are digging up these big trees all over the place now, because the roots are so strong that they go through pipes and asphalt. Nobody thought these trees would grow so well here in Iceland. I remember I planted one in 1987 and the first two years it didn't grow at all, but then it shot up like anything and after ten years it was already too big for the garden.
We went for a long walk and then studied, busy days.
