55th Wedding Anniversary

So here's Mum & Dad at the fine Fox & Hounds celebrating their 55th Wedding Anniversary. 55 years!!! Utterly outstanding.

Dad struggles to walk now, paget's having weakened his bone structure. It's not stopped him of course. I was at theirs on the morning of Mum's birthday in April and Dad had popped out. Mum & I were in the kitchen making coffee and Dad appeared at the top corner of the field walking back towards his home with a bunch of roses in hand. Dad, 81 with severe bone deformity in his left leg, fresh too from a heart attack last year, had walked the mile to and from Morrisons to get his beloved her flowers.

There's no wonder I'm an old romantic.
