Tutsan
We've had a bit of a flooding problem (again) last night, when the thunder and rain storm passed over us. We had no idea that something was wrong until clearing up after dinner and putting some of the garbage in the garage, and then hearing a lot of water dripping. This time it wasn't in the basement but on the first floor, the drain of the washing machine joins with an outside drain of the gutters apparently and that one was overflowing and is now partly blocked, arrgh. Loads of water and a lot of sand and leaf remains on part of the floor! All dried out now, but no idea what will happen when the next rain shower occurs. We did try a short wash and that showed that there definitely was a blockage in the drain.
Nothing to be done in the weekend, no washing possible, but we decided to clean the gutters our selves today and have successfully done 3 sides (the fourth side is too high for our ladder).
And thus I noticed the sweet-amber or tutsan (a St Johns Wort relative) growing under the window is in bloom again and took a close-up of one of its flower clusters.
Thanks very much for your comments and stars on yesterday's horse carriage and castle,
