Woodpecker Family Drama

A bit of a stramash outside the office window revealed 3 crows and a pair of woodpeckers in close combat. The reason was this woodpecker fledgling, whether it had fallen from the next or been forced out by the crows , we don't know. Nor if it was injured, or just too young to fly to safety, as it sat out in to open for quite a while. The parents stayed around and fought of the crows but eventually seemed to disappear.

About an hour later a  couple of staff from another office came an collected it up in a box. I assume they had consulted SSPCA or someone, as I'd always thought the best thing was to leave fledglings alone. 

Overall, quite enough excitement.
