Housing Market (update)
The UK's housing market is said to be either "flat" or "dead" - depending where you look. Undoubtedly, if you aspire to be a first time buyer or are trying to sell a house at the end of the market commonly populated by first time buyers, that is true. Until mortgage lending resumes at sensible levels and economic confidence grows, that state of affairs will continue.
But at the top end of the market, things are moving, as evidenced by this blip. These large individual houses have been built over the last year. And the absence of "for sale" signs shows they have been built to order, for what must be wealthy people. The houses have a fantastic view over Hollingworth Lake, so long as you don't mind seeing nosey people, like me, taking frequent photographs.
