Field Barn

An old favourite.

Started the day watching the Springwatch Blue Tits nestbox cameras- at about 7:50am they looked as though they were all about to fledge .... 12 hours later they were all still in the box

Not out much today - some sunshine but just too windy and hayfevery ( is that a word it must be - it describes how I feel ) to be pleasant.

Walked down for a paper and got the Yorkshire Post - only an occasional purchase but some good sections especially Sport, Country matters and the colour mag.

(food)Shopping at lunchtime at M&S bought loads - something for everyone (hopefully).

Andy Murray was just about beaten as we returned ( shame i really thought i might win)

Failed to pick the winner of the Derby - Jack Hobbs came second as most of my selections do.

My new Collins BTO guide to British Birds arrived - looks good. So nipped out to see some birds mostly getting blown about in the wind but many keep out of it completely.

Barcelona won the Champions league final but at least Juve gave them a game.
