Cherry picking

A beautiful day in the mountains of Virginia!  We went berry picking and came home with gorgeous strawberries, blueberries and cherries!  I made strawberry shortcake tonight and it was divine.

Now the berries are put away - it took a while to pit the cherries and the kitchen looked a little like a murder scene - but now it is done and we are set for fruit!
