A quiet day, waking up late, reading - I finished reading Mind of Winter by Laura Kasischke and started One of Us by Tawni O'Dell - watching the end of Andy Murray's semifinal against Novak Djokovic then the women's final.

We then spent a delightful evening with an American friend who had cooked for us: black bean salad, Buffalo wings with blue cheese dressing and celery sticks, mac 'n' cheese, and pecan pie for dessert! It was all excellent and the conversation rolled smoothly.
