Couldn't resist the contrast of colours here ... suspect it is a bit fuzzy though.

I really wish someone would start a fundraising campaign to have Herbert Hampton's sculpture cleaned and returned to its bronze beauty. This was one of many gifts to Lancaster from one of its very successful industrialist ... James Williamson 'The Lino King'. Suspect, with all the budget constaints on all local authorities just now, restoring a sculpture is pretty near the bottom of a long list of priorities!!! Shame though ....
