Yellowhammer

looking a bit worried as I was a bit too close to their nest. He was trying to move me away while his mate returned to sit.
I've decided, we're not having bad weather, it is just a very long Spring. That's why I've blipped an extra pic of the bluebells still in profusion so late on, also, the poor Four Spotted Chaser had emerged and been hit by a heavy shower, ending up flat on the surface of the pond. I fished him out and left him to dry in the sun. Hope it will be a successful rescue. The second one I fished out was quite flat, so not much hope for him. I collected about twenty exuviae, so others have made  successful flights.
