Worm's eye view
The grandchildren got me up at 6.30 am! I gave them breakfast and tried to keep them occupied until their Mum rang from Benidorm around 9 o'clock when they wished her "a happy birthday". We went to Tesco's at 10 am to buy some goodies for a picnic and later Bryan and I took them to Llanyrafon Manor in Cwmbran where there was a WW11 event. We saw various army vehicles and equipment, rations, artillery and memorabilia and the highlight was when S and me took part in a drill where we were put through our paces. Six year old S had to do five press ups as he had laughed at the officer in charge, it was all done in good fun! We were also treated with tunes from a bagpiper dressed in full Scottish dress. We had our picnic and then wandered over to the boating lake where S, A and J played in the park for a while.
My blip is a worm's eye view of daisies and buttercups in my garden (just experimenting) with an extra photo of two the lovely ladies who greeted us at the WW11 event.
