Unforgettable day

If ever a day came close to perfection, this was it. Our son, John, married his delightful fiancee Amy in Oxford on a glorious sunny day where everything went right from start to finish.

It was a day full of emotion - joy in abundance, of course, but the odd tear was shed for absent friends. My pride at the part played by all three of my children - Guy and Sally, as well as John - also brought a lump to the throat.

I'm so happy for John and Amy and delighted to have made new friends in Amy's lovely family.
