I've just got to have that wallpaper Grandpa!
So, it's been a rather lazy day today in Santa Margherita. Strolled into town this morning then stayed on the terrace for rest of the day watching the local teenagers and others enjoying themselves on the beach below us.
In view of our lazy day we are going to have a more active one tomorrow winding up one of the local estate agents and hopefully persuading him to let us view one of the €1M seafront apartments or even more than one. There are vendisi (for sale) signs on everything including the kitchen sink in this place. The beach front real estate is clearly too hot for the likes of us mere peasants to touch!
I've found the perfect wallpaper for our shabby chic beach hut in Felixstowe but grumpa doesn't like it. It is in the hotel foyer area and I just want to rip it down and take it back to England.
I'm crazy. Grandpa said it looks like something an old granny or even a grandpa would have in their home - back to interior design school for me then I fear. Maybe he should know all about these things seeing as he is a grandpa himself.
We are both now chilling on our iPads after the whole resort was left with a power outage this afternoon. This sounds crazy but is true, although most shops seemed to have had a backup supply they could rely on until the service was restored some hours later. I assume it's a regular occurrence in these parts. Lots of security alarms were sounding all from the hills behind us and could be heard from what seemed like several miles away.
The good news is that power has now been restored to the resort and the bad news is that the outage has seriously messed about with the air conditioning system in the hotel and so it's fecking hot In this suite at the moment.
What a day. Some good some bad. See I told you it's always interesting when me and Grandpa get together! :-)
