Opps, Didn't Mean to Disturb You

We were visiting with some friends who live on Bethany Lake when I turned around to see this Great Blue Heron land. I grabbed my camera and walked around the trees; but unfortunately I frightened him before I got the trophy shot. Here he is flying away over the lake. I like his pointed toes, wing feathers and the look of the water..... this is my choice.

A warm day, so I am going out late tonight to do some yard work. I love that it stays light later and later every day........at least for 14 more days.
