Yuck

The salt in our water softener had turned to a rock hard sludge. Who knows why? So we spent the day digging it out, disassembling the whole thing, cleaned the salt with the hose to save any good chunks that were left and reassembling- all during thunderstorms. Sheesh, what a job.
