A meeting of minds

It's been a real privilege to spend time with Kendall and Sue this weekend and today was another special one.

Spokes and I met up with them this afternoon for a walk along the shore at low tide and we talked as we searched for fossils and agates - both of which we found.

When the tide came in we headed back for a spot of afternoon tea and then Spokes and I ventured up to the cliff tops overlooking Staithes for a walk along a stretch of the Cleveland Way.

When we returned to the village it was time to meet Sue and Kendall again for a delicious meal and another chance to share stories and bask in their happiness. Thank you to them both, it was magical!

After bidding them goodnight, we spent a little while down by the sea defences, watching the waves and listening to the cries of the seagulls nesting on the cliff face above us.

It's been a marvellous weekend and we'll be sad to leave in the morning.
