Not happy.....

Poor Earl, wee trip to the vets in order this morning, he's been off his food since we lost Sooty and though I've put it down to him fretting for her. I'm worried now there's more to it. He's just nibbling and that isn't like him at all....

UPDATE
So after writing the above, took him to vets appointment and not a bit of wonder he was off his food one of front fangs he chipped years ago was abcessed up through the gum and swollen with an ulcer. Vet is doing his blood checks to make sure his kidney function is ok and nothing else suspicious like a thyroid problem that may have contributed to his weightloss. If bloods come back ok she's taking his front fang out today but has him on IV fluids for dehydration all morning to see if that helps him before he gets general anethestic. I was shocked how much weight he had lost. With sooty so frail he still seemed like a big boy until we lost her 3wks ago then I started to notice how much lighter he was. Poor baby hardily a complaint out of him.....
