Wall Brown
After all the excitement of yesterday's demonstration, I went for an early morning walk along part of the reservoir and my 'patch'. It's a beautiful summery day although the northerly wind can be quite strong at times.
I saw great tits, a dunnock, two cormorants, a few adult ducks and insects. No ducklings or woodpeckers were to be seen on heard. I wonder where they hide?
I was looking for inspirational curves for Mono Monday and have fiddled around with various images, but I like this Wall Brown butterfly the best. It was resting on rocks which hummingbird- hawk moths were flying around but not settling on. One day I'll get a decent shot of one of those!
