Traffic jam

Stuck outside Knightsbridge Barracks on the number 10 bus, I noticed a rather unusual addition to the London traffic jam. Well, it is Jubilee week, and this carriage and horses may well have been left over from one of the pageants !

The London trip was to see Anna Netrebko and Erwin Schrott at the Royal Albert Hall yesterday evening. Jonas Kaufmann should have been appearing but, as he is suffering from quite a serious health problem, he had to pull out. Ramon Vargas (the Mexican tenor) stepped in - and was superb.

Anna Netrebko is the most magical soprano I have ever heard or seen. I prefer to experience a full opera rather than a microphoned event which has as much glitter as music. But it really was magnificent. And her man, Erwin Schrott is extremely dishy !!!!
