Recce

Later in the week the WI Camera Group will be exploring a local village. This morning I was the advance party, checking out parking places and a cafe for tea afterwards.
I enjoyed browsing a couple of interesting shops and spent time in the church.
The village has a busy road running through which was the London Portsmouth road before it was by -passed and there are old coaching inns that served the travellers on that important route. Inevitably there are stories of Nelson stopping there. In one of the little side roads away from the busy traffic I found this pretty cottage door.
We often pass through this village on our travels, and it was a treat to stop and have time to explore.
