Oops
Chef forgot to add the beaten egg to the sauce in his haste to get to rehearsal so poured it over the top in the hope it would miraculously sink in. I'm sure baked egg and moussaka will be lovely.
Totally broken today. I knew I'd pay for yesterday but underestimated quite how much. I'm not even talking about the beer. I know I'm rubbish at afternoon drinking particularly out in the sun all day but the upside is the hangover was over by yesterday evening. My joints may take longer to forgive me. Still I'd do it all again. I can let Arthur dictate everything I do.
I do have to be sensible occasionally so today was marked as a rest day- admin it was and I've spent rather longer than anyone should have to dealing with various insurances and the last remaining name changes. We spent ages discussing whether I would change my name when I got married. The one thing we didn't consider was the considerable admin required when you're a geriatric bride. I'm so lazy that if I'd known how much hassle it would be it would have swayed my decision. Still once I finally get my certified copy back from the pension, I can deal with the dreaded land registry forms and then it's only my library card. I think.
In amongst all that admin, it was mildly worrying to discover that I'm no longer in the UK and now subject to the social and labour laws of another EEA country! Yet more phone calls.
A trip to the shops and a washing and ironing marathon have shattered my goal of walking less than 2000 steps* and avoiding being on my feet.
Still, I'm just settling down to a women's football watching session which I can now justify as being medically required. Silver linings :-)
