Funny old Monday spent in a bit of an emotional fuzz. Still caught up in some of yesterday's stories and anxious about my dad who it turns out has had a mild stroke. He seems pretty good - had some email exchanges this evening - but they're in France which seems quite far away just now. On top of all that I heard from a very very old friend out of the blue with his life over the last 25? years telescoped into an email. So great to hear from him, but of course you end up reflecting on all the stuff that's happened since those heady student days. Life seems so short right now and getting old feels pretty rubbish.
