Hello.....

....I'm a little green shield bug, also known as a green vegetable bug in Australia and New Zealand and a southern green stink bug in the USA but I quite like my formal name Nezara viridula - now that's a mouthful!

I carry a green shield upon my back and have two large scent glands either side of my eyes. If you squash me I will release a sticky foul odour which is where the 'stink' comes into my name, hopefully you won't squash me!
