The Gate Crashers

Had a really full day: Following the Appleby horse fair and the beer festival last night; after the guests had left, I had an appointment at Carlisle hospital, then it was over to Newcastle to collect Emma from uni - she's finished her first year of her medical degree and passed all the exams. Packed all her belongings in the Defender (and filled Gails car up too), and headed home.

Despite her only having had a couple of hours sleep last night, she still managed to come out with me to the second night of the beer festival, and we both had a great time. Live music was courtesy of "The Gate Crashers" which although were a rock band, also managed covers as diverse as Stevie Wonder's "Superstition"!
