St Michael's Mount Gardens

Walked to St Michael's Mount today and after looking around the house, we explored the gardens which are basically one giant rockery. The gardens are on the leeward side of the island so sheltered from the wind. I think that this position, against the rock of the mount creates a mild microclimate which allows some exotic plants to grow here. They wouldn't thrive at home unfortunately.
