The Culsh monument

I took a wee detour on the way home from work this afternoon, just because I could, and the sun was shining. I stopped at the monument at Culsh outside New Deer, from which you can see the whole of Buchan on a clear day like today. However today I discovered for the first time a little path at the back of the monument which meanders through a small wood full of bluebells and birdsong. An added extra and a few moments of sheer bliss. My extra blip is of the view from the monument.
