First days and Birth days.

Mum's 70th and the first day for Tess at the big school.

Mum had a good birthday meal (70? No way!) and seemed chuffed with the gift of a special west coast visit and journey on the Jacobite from the rabble at large.

Tess was grinning from ear to ear about Meldrum, she doesn't want to go back to primary and the nerves of last night and this morning gave way to all out exhaustion tonight back at mum's house.

Day 3 of burning the candle at both ends started with a Disney moment this morning when I opened curtains to swooping swifts and a disorientated deer in the garden. The road is closed at the moment and it's so very peaceful. Wish the road would stay closed, the detour to get home is worth it just for the absence of rat runners.
