Neither tree nor cabbage!
A wonderfully, gloriously sunny day today! We've had visitors absolutely raving about the garden - two German visitors made me late for dinner because they couldn't stop explaining how so many different facets of the garden could be interpreted in so many different ways, how many layers there were, how many little pictures, how the light played on certain leaves and branches etc, etc. It was lovely to hear just how much people enjoy it. It took me back a few years when a certain gentleman who must remain nameless said he found it impossible to think of a way that the garden could be described in a fund-raising appeal - it was just a garden after all!
It has been lovely today with so much in flower - several people have said that they came because of the story we had in the Herald last week, so that was worth disturbing my Sunday!
Here we have one of our cabbage trees, more sensibly known as Cordyline australis, from New Zealand, oddly in the asparagus family!
